Robert Steven Cranford

Robert Steven "Steve" Cranford, age 69, of Randleman died Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

Mr. Cranford was born June 19, 1950 the son of Robert Lee and Maggie Frye Cranford.Steve was a native of Stanley County and served in the US Army. He was a 1968 graduate of Randleman High School and retired from Norfolk-Southern Railway. Steve was a free spirit and loved riding his Harley. One of his primary joys in life was lending a helping hand toward any project and pitching in just because. In addition to his parents Steve is preceded in death by his baby brother, Melvin Douglas Cranford.

He is survived by his wife: Linda Henley Cranford; son: Jason Cranford (Leslie) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandson, Brantly Cranford; granddaughter, Alexa Wright; sisters: Brenda Hill (Jerry) of Salisbury, Betty Staley (Darrell) of Sophia, Nancy Parrish of Sophia, and Carolyn Windson (Donald) of Pleasant Garden.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

He will be missed by many friends and loved ones.
