Troy Cecil Kinney, age 76, of 3031 George York Rd., Randleman died Friday, November 6, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Mr. Kinney was a native of Randolph County and attended Neighbor's Grove Wesleyan Church. He was retired from the US Army Reserves, General Electric and Black & Decker. Cecil was born on a farm and loved horses and had horses all of his life. He supplied his horses for weddings, funerals, school programs and rest homes. Mr. Kinney was preceded in death by his son, Steven Kinney, sisters, Ruth Coble and Myrtle Burrow and brother, Alfred Kinney. He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Sink Kinney, of the home; daughter, Sherry Allred; her husband, Timmy of Randleman; daughter, Christy Kinney and her fiance, Paul VanNess of Asheboro; son, Eddie Kinney and his wife, Tammy of Randleman; son, Robbie Kinney and his wife, Suzanne of Randleman; grandchildren, Zachery Kinney of Fort Mills, SC, Jared Allred, Kaiden, Kobe, Chase and Garrett Kinney all of Randleman; step grandchildren, Kimberly Lankford of Denton, Brittany Harris of North Wilkesboro, and Kasey Jarrell of Randleman, step great grandchildren, Kaleb Hollingsworth, of Denton and Connor Bullins, of Randleman,brother: Robert Kinney, and his wife, Maggie of Neeses, SC The family wants to give a special "Thanks" to all the nurses, Physicians and other staff members on the 4th floor of Randolph Hospital and N.C Baptist Hospital, of Wintson-Salem for the care and compassion they showed Cecil. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Monday, November 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church, 1928 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro with Rev. Doug Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites provided by the US Army of Fort Bragg..Memorials may be made to Neighbors Grove Wesleyan Church Building Fund, 1928 N.
