Russell Brown

Howard Russell Brown, age 74, of 1403 Meadowbrook Rd., Asheboro died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Deep River Baptist Church, 8528 NC Hwy 42S, Ramseur with Rev. Bob Boyd and Rev. Gene Adycock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Brown was a native of Randolph County, was a 1950 graduate of Coleridge School, and attended Guilford College. He was a retired Route Salesman and attended Deep River Baptist Church. Russell was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his wife, Doris Herrin Brown, sons, William R. "Bill" Brown and his wife Jane of Chesapeake, VA; Robert S. "Bob" Brown of Burgaw, NC; daughters, Tammie B. Johnson of Asheboro; Kim B. Sumner and her husband Chris of Asheboro, NC; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother, Roy C. Brown and his wife Betty of Asheboro, NC; and sister, Ruth Ann Allred of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
