Betty Lynn Talton

Betty Lynn Cullop Talton, age 58, of 3620 Tom Brown Rd., Franklinville went to her heavenly home Thursday, February 28, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother. In life Betty worked as a certified Nursing Assistant for Presbyterian & Maryfield Nursing Homes, caring for the elderly and disable. She was an avid gardener and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Betty was born to the late Fred and Dorothy Cullop in Abingdon, Va. on May 3, 1949. She graduated from Rome Academy, Rome, NY in 1969.Since 1977 she has lived in Greensboro, NC until 2007 when she moved to Randleman, NC. She has left to cherish her memory her beloved brother, Jim Cullop and wife Dee; One nephew Tim Cullop and wife Terri; Great nieces Sayge and Gracie Cullop; Step Great Nieces, Lori and Leah Adams. Long time partner, Dennis McDowell and son of her heart Joseph McDowell. Extended family members in Abingdon, Va and Rome, NY. Family will receive friends at the home of Tim and Terri Cullop, 4265 N. Pin Oak Dr., Randleman, NC. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2206 Wicker-Lovell Road, Randleman with Rev. Perry Brown officiating.
