Fawnie Maxine Burrow Poupore, age 83, of Franklinville died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur.
Mrs. Poupore was born October 5, 1937 the daughter of Dermont Burrow and Nannie Bell Thompson Johnson. Fawnie was a native of Randolph County and worked for the Randolph County School System. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School class, and served on different committees, including Den Mother of the cub scouts at the church. Her chicken and dumplings and coconut cake will be only a few things that will be greatly missed. Fawnie enjoyed collecting recipes, reading, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved traveling across the country with her family. In addition to her parents, Fawnie is preceded in death by her husband Richard Poupore.
She is survived by her children: David Poupore (Summer) of Franklinville, Mark Poupore of Franklinville, Melanie Wicker (Jerry) of Randleman, John Poupore (Cindy) of Randleman and Paul Poupore (Sarah) of Randleman; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 30, 2021 from 12:00 - 1:45 pm at Bethany United Methodist Church, 3650 Bethany Church Rd., Franklinville, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Russell Brownworth and Rev. Jeremiah Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
