Everett Lionel Henderson, age 78, of Randleman died Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his home. Mr. Henderson was born January 4, 1943 the son of Allister Lionel and Kathrine McCelland Henderson. Everett served in the US Army during Vietnam War and attended Randleman Friends Meeting. A 1961 graduate of Randleman High School where he excelled in sports and was later inducted into the Randleman High School Sports Hall of Fame. He retired from Duke Power Company. Everett coached youth sports for many years and was the past president of The Randleman Lions Club and enjoyed working with the blind. He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Nancy Russell Henderson of the home; children: Kelly Loflin and husband Lyle of Sophia, and Tim Henderson of Randleman; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; step daughter, Donna Brower (Lonnie Morgan) of Randleman. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 6 – 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman, NC 27317. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Special "Thank You" to Donna Brower and Lonnie Morgan for their devotion in the care for Everett. Memorials may be made to Randleman Public Library, 142 W. Academy Street, Randleman, NC 27317 or Hospice Of Randolph, 416 Vision Dr., Asheboro, NC 27203, www.hospiceofrandolph.org. Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman is serving the Henderson family.
