Forrest Mayberry "Buck" Shaw, Jr., age 74, of Asheboro died Friday, January 29, 2021 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.
Mr. Shaw was born September 20, 1946 the son of Forrest and Ruth McCollum Shaw. Buck was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Randleman High School, class of 1964, served in the National Guard during the Vietnam Era and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Randleman. He was owner/operator of Touch of Custom Signs and was an accomplished artist/painter. He left many paintings for friends and family to cherish for years to come. He will be greatly missed. Buck is preceded in death by his wife: Faye Dean Shaw and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Shaw.
He is survived by one son: Darren Shaw of Sophia, NC; granddaughter: Stephanie (Jesse) Small of Asheboro, NC; grandson: Bradley (Brandi) Shaw of Sophia, NC; granddaughter: Hannah Shaw of Sophia, NC; and great grandchildren: Grayson and Olivia Small.
Buck will lie in repose on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 at First Baptist Church, 100 North Main Street, Randleman with Rev. Chris Heppding officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
