Elaine Hancock Lundy, age 87, of Randleman died Friday, January 15, 2021 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
Elaine was born on September 13, 1933, in Randleman, where she has lived most of her life. She formerly was employed by Commonwealth Hosiery and retired from Klaussner Furniture as a supply handler. She enjoyed working in her garden, her yard and reading. She especially loved ballroom and shag dancing. Mrs. Lundy was a very active lady right up to the last few weeks before her death, and will be greatly missed by her family and the community.
Mrs. Lundy was preceded in death by her husband: Clifford Lundy; mother: Kizzie Routh; father: Ervin Hancock; her twin-brother: Wayne Hancock; two grandchildren: Michelle Cranford and Elizabeth Cranford.
She is survived by her children: Deborah Sue Lundy of Randleman, Rachel Lundy Thornton and her husband, Tommy Thornton of Randleman, and son: Gary Clifford Lundy of Monkey Junction, NC.
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic and the safety of everyone, Mrs. Lundy wishes were for the family to have a Private Service.
