Larry Winfield “L.W.” Cable, age 83 of Randleman passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Mr. Cable was born June 1, 1937 the son of Harvey Winfield and Grace Scott Cable. L.W. was an avid bowler having bowled multiple perfect games. When he wasn't bowling he enjoyed traveling to the mountains with his family. In addition to his parents, L.W. is preceded in death by his sisters, Thelma, Gladys, and Jewel; and brother, William.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah Maness Cable; children, James “Jamie” Jackson and wife Evelyn of Henderson, Larry "Scottie" Scott Cable and wife Debbie of Creedmore, Elizabeth Ann Poythress and husband Randy of Macon, and Paula Christine Booth and husband Mike of Randleman; grandchildren, Emily, Amber, John, Heather, Josh and wife Hannah, Jennifer; great grandchildren, McKenzie, Wesley, Zachery, and Will; sister: Mary Frances Parker of Greensboro; brother, James Roger “J.R.” Cable of Randleman.
L.W. will lie in repose on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 11:00 am - 1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Myran Poythress officiating. Burial will follow the service in Centre Friends Meeting Cemetery, Greensboro.
