Peggy Lou Owen

Peggy Lou Holshouser Owen, age 83, of Randleman passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Owen was born February 9, 1937 to the daughter of Clifford and Virginia Holshouser. Peggy was a native of Rowan County and a member of New Salem United Methodist Church. She was a very giving and protective lady. She loved her children, each one in their own way. Peggy received her horticulture degree at Randolph Community College and enjoyed the outdoors and gardening her flowers. She also was a professional seamstress. She had a special bond with her grandchildren, who she loved dearly. She is survived by her four sons: Kenneth Owen (Deborah) of SC, Ronald Owen of SC, Chris Owen of VA, and Michael Owen (Elaine Pereira-Owen) of Monroe; grandchildren: Shannon, Travis, Jessie, Jennifer, Serena, Aaron, Elijah, C.J and Asa; 2 great grandchildren; brothers: Michael Holshouser (Donna) of Oak Island and Donald Holshouser (Janice) of Salisbury; sisters: Sandra Taylor (Ron) of Ohio, Judy Livingood of Salisbury, and Joyce Ketchie (Dale) of Salisbury. Peggy will lie in repose Monday, December 21, 2020 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Johnny Lord officiating. Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman is serving the Owen family.
