Mitchell Reid Beck, age 78, of Randleman went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte.
Mr. Beck was born July 12, 1942 the son of Ernest Reid and Jackie Ward Beck. Mitchell was a native of Randolph County and a member of Central Falls Baptist Church, were he received Christ in April of 1990. He served as an usher, deacon and was known as the “Candyman”. He is the owner of Beck’s Used Cars and enjoyed salt water fishing at Holden Beach.
Mitchell never meet a stranger and enjoyed picking with everyone.
In addition to his parents, Mitchell is preceded in death by his brother, Alton Beck.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Nancy York Beck of the home; sons: Dwight Beck of Randleman, Rev. Ernest Beck (Patty) of Burlington, Todd Beck of Randleman, Tracy Beck (Shannon) of Franklinville, Rev. Reid Beck (Kaitlyn) of Hickory and Jackie Beck of Randleman; grandchildren: Brandon Beck (Hannah), Brittany Stokes (Chris), Maisy Beck, Braxton Beck, Jackson Beck, Angel Beck, Zac Beck, and Nathan Beck; great grandchildren: Adie, Haven, Becklea and Dillen.
Mitchell will lie in repose on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman he will also lie in repose Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 1:00 – 1:50 pm at Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Rd., Asheboro. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gerald Hussey, Rev. Ernest Beck and Rev. Reid Beck officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
