Michael Powers Davis

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Powers Davis, age 74, of Randleman announce his passing on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. He is now in the loving arms of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior. Mr. Davis was born December 20, 1945 the son of Richard and Vida Powers Davis. Mike was a native of Randolph County and served in the US Army, 1968 - 1970 during Vietnam, as a medic. He was raised on a dairy farm and loved being outdoors. Mike was a lifetime member of Cedar Square Friends Meeting. He was the owner of Davis Insurance for 46 years, co owner of Davis Brothers Insurance, for over 25 years in Greensboro and also Randolph Realty. Mike loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Davis. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years: Carolyn Liles Davis of the home; children: Lesley Davis Papciak (Brent) of Greensboro, Eric Davis (Chrissy) of Randleman, and Darren Davis of Randleman; grandchildren, Will, Nick, and Mikey Papciak, Katelyn, Max, Zeke, Bryce, Jake Davis; brothers: Ron Davis (Cathy) of Greensboro, Brant Davis (Trudy) of Randleman, and Greg Davis (Cathy) of Randleman; sister-in-law, Janice Davis of Randleman. Mike will lie in repose on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Cedar Square Friends Meeting, 7546 Harlow Rd., Archdale with Rev. Michael Fulp officiating and the Randolph County Honor Guard will be performing military rites.
