Vivian Marie Taylor Fields, age 81, of Pleasant Garden passed away in her home surrounded by family on Friday, May 8, 2020.
Mrs. Fields was born July 30, 1938 the daughter of Odell Taylor and Annie Mae Simmons Taylor.
Vivian was a native of Guilford County and retired from Serta Bedding after 42 years of service.
She was a member of Providence Friends and enjoyed spending time at the beach with her friends. For many years, she framed pictures through her personal business, Field of Frames. Vivian had a creative side, a great sense of humor and a strong connection to her friends and family. She enjoyed flower arranging, reading fiction novels and hosting family gatherings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Carson Meade Fields and her son: Carlon Odell Fields.
She is survived by son: Stanley Fields of Pleasant Garden; granddaughters: Julia Fields Bailey and her husband, Matthew of Sugar Grove and Kaylen Fields of Boone; sister: Lesia Thurber of Huntersville; brother: Randall Taylor and his wife Jennifer of Summerville; niece, Shielda Breedlove of Pleasant Garden; other special people: Danny and Emily Wilkins, Alannah Bullins, Christopher Wilkins, Tammy Fields and other extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be Monday, May 11, 2020 at 2:30 pm at Providence Friends Meeting Cemetery, 2054 Providence Church Road, Pleasant Garden with Pastor Kevin Rollins. officiating. Due to Covid-19 restrictions this service is limited to 50 people.
