Shirley Keathley

Shirley Pyrtle Keathley, age 71, of Randleman died Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Keathley was born December 15, 1948 the daughter of Rufus and Josephine Haimbaugh Pyrtle. Shirley was a native of Randolph County and retired from Eveready Battery Company with 36 years of service. She was a member of South Plainfield Friends Meeting. Shirley enjoyed traveling to the mountains and beach. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her brother, O.C Prytle. She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Quentin Keathley of the home; daughter: Jennifer Pearce and husband Mark of Randleman; twin grandchildren, Keathley Seth and Josie Madalene Pearce; siblings: Maggie Arnold of Asheboro, Mack Pyrtle and wife Wanda of Thomasville, Frances Winslow of Asheboro, Betty Hole and husband Willis of Randleman, Ella Mae Zimba and husband Stan of Raleigh, Carolyn Pyrtle of Asheboro and Janice Brown of Fl. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 9, 2020 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A private family service will be held later.
