Aubrey R. Carter

Aubrey Raeford Carter, age 92, formerly of Franklinville, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Alpine Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mr. Carter was born July 12, 1927 the son of Robert Lee and Lucy Owens Carter. Aubrey was a native of Surry County, NC and a longtime resident of Randolph County. He retired from Klopman Mills and was a member of the North Asheboro Church of God. He was always active in his church and he will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Aubrey is preceded in death by his first wife: Helen Davis Carter. He is survived by: daughter and her husband: Brenda (James) Willard of Trinity, NC; daughter and her husband: Carolyn (Charles) Byerly of Huntingdon, PA; grandchildren: Andria Key, David Carpenter, Kelly Tysinger; and 4 great grandchildren.
