Alta Anderson Johnson Curtis, of Randleman, passed on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at High Point Medical Center, with complications from diverticulitis.
Alta was born March 15, 1925 to Carrie Weir of Sandy Ridge and Charlie Franklin Anderson of Deep River communities in High Point. A life-long resident of Randolph County, she is survived by daughter, Phyllis, married to Patrick Gaffney and granddaughter, Felicia, plus many beloved nieces and nephews who adored their “Aunt Alta”. Two sisters-in-law, Gladys Parks and Margaret Anderson. Preceding her death were her husbands, Ray Carl Johnson and J. Norman Curtis; brothers, Porter and Frank Anderson; sister, Bessie Andrews.
A birthright Quaker, she joined New Salem United Methodist Church in 1951.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
