Eldonna Faye Hensley Brown, age 84, of Liberty passed away peacefully at Randolph Hospice House surrounded by her family, Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
Mrs. Brown was born May 6, 1935 the daughter of Harry Dewey and Thelma Willis Hensley.
Eldonna was a native of Eden, NC. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir before her illness. Eldonna was a "fighter" who always kept going and never gave up. She loved and was loved by her family and friends. Eldonna was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home and yard. In addition to her parents, Eldonna was preceded in death by her first husband, James Howard Taylor and second husband, Jesse Otis Brown, grandson, Jamie Parrish and brother, Billy Hensley.
She is survived by her son: James Taylor (Bubba) and wife Gwen of Liberty; daughter: Janice Brewer and husband Steve of Staley; grandchildren, Sabrina Jennings, James Michael Taylor, Michelle Alexander and Connie Salazor; 15 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren; sisters: Lynnita Curry and Onetta Wilson.
The family would like to extend a special "Thanks" to her caregivers, Sabrina Jennings and Darlene Humble for their loving care.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:00 - 2:15 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Brian Shrader officiating. Burial will follow at Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman.
