Homer Junior Earnhardt peacefully left his earthly body and entered the arms of his beloved Jesus on December 31, 2019. He said his final goodbyes at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro, NC.
Mr. Earnhardt was born on June 4, 1935 the son of Homer E. Earnhardt and Henrietta Cozart Earnhardt. Homer was born in Guilford County but made his home in Asheboro, NC. He attended Grace Chapel High School and served in the US Army Reserves. Homer held various jobs during his life and retired from Acme McCrary. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Wiles Earnhardt, his second wife, Eva Kennedy Mintz Earnhardt, his sister Corinna Earnhardt Davis and his daughter Clara "Joy" Earnhardt Morris.
He is survived by his children and stepchildren: Carol Blanchard Hall, Angela E. Galvan-Cruz, Donna E. Muck, Wanda Mintz, Bobby Mintz and Shelia Daniels. He has 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Homer loved sports, listening to BBN radio and Dr, John Vernon McGee preach. He was a faithful member of Central Falls Baptist Church where he ushered and ran the sound booth until his health prevented him from attending.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Central Falls Baptist Church, 1332 Old Liberty Rd., Asheboro. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gerald Hussey officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
