Vicki Garner Poindexter

Vicki Garner Poindexter, age 61, of Franklinville went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, November 22, 2019 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.

Vicki was a native of Randolph County and graduate of Randleman High School. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church where she and Billy taught children's church for many years. Vicki was a simple lady who loved her church family and thankful for everyday of life. Vicki and Billy could see Gods fingerprint on their lives. In 1994 Vicki received a kidney transplant from an organ donor which meant the world. She never had any signs of rejection from the transplant and requests everyone to consider being an organ donor.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years: William "Billy" Poindexter of Franklinville; son: William "David" Poindexter and fiancée Chelsea Butcher of Durham; her mother, Helen Garner of Franklinville and canine companion, Sug.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 12:00 - 1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Joel McDuffie officiating. Burial will follow at Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the Moses Cone ICU unit for all the doctors and nurses for their incredible compassion and care.
