Dalton Eugene Trogdon

Dalton Eugene Trogdon, age 80, of Franklinville died Monday, August 28, 2017 at his home. Mr. Trogdon was born September 1, 1936 the son of Reginald Dewey and Lillian Elise Spivey Trogdon. Dalton was a native of Randolph County and a member of Grays Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a truck driver for Burlington Industries which he retired from. In addition to his parents, Dalton is preceded in death by his wife, Nora Alberty Trogdon, daughter, Betsy Ann Forbes, and his brother Kerney Maurice Trogdon. He is survived by his daughters: Teresa Heilbrun and husband Chris of Statesville and Cynthia Laughlin and husband Jessie of Franklinville; sons: Dalton Trogdon, Jr. of Franklinville, and Bobby Trogdon of Franklinville; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister: Myrna Callicutt and husband Charles of Franklinville. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 1:00-2:45 pm at Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 N.C. Hwy 22 North, Franklinville, NC. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Jacob Kyker and Rev. Alanda Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
