Doris Cox Trogdon, age 95, of Franklinville died Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Beeson was born March 1, 1925 the daughter of Percy and Leoline Routh Cox. Doris was a native of Randolph County and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed making quilts and made sure all her children and grandchildren had one of her acts of love sewed in a quilt. Doris was a loving wife and mother. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas H. Trogdon and James Beeson; sisters: Ruth Lineberry, Blanche Powell, Mary Routh, Martha Williamson, Louvelia Morris; brothers: John, Percy and Charles Cox. She is survived by her children: Arnold Trogdon (Joyce) of Ala, Wanda Wood of Franklinville, Steve Trogdon (Ann) of Franklinville, and Lowell Trogdon of Franklinville; sisters: Irene Surratt, Margaret Ester, and Rachel Davis; brothers: James Cox (Ruth), and Wayne Cox (Delois); 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren. Doris will lie in state Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 20, 2020 at 10:00 am at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Rev. Jeremiah Johnson officiating.
