Gladys Louise Duke Hill, age 90, of Randleman died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at home with her loving daughters and sister by her side.
Gladys was a native of Stanly County and retired from Klopman Mills in Central Falls, with many years of service. She was a very generous person and never thought twice about giving to others less fortunate. Gladys was an avid pet lover and always had a dog by her side. She is preceded in death by her father, George Duke; mother, Easter Gallimore; husband Roy Hill; daughter, Elaine Beane; grandson Ronald Robertson; sisters, Macy Haithcock and Edna Hill; brother, Ernest Duke.
She is survived by her daughters Rena Hutchens of Asheboro, Dotty Davis of Randleman and Diane Burgess; son, Mitchell Hill of Asheboro; sisters, Rachael Reeder of Asheboro and Barbara Allred of Asheboro; brother, Lacy Gallimore of Asheboro; grandchildren: Gina Robertson, Angie Robertson, Gwen Clapp, Pam Sutphin and Andreau Burgess. 10 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Cedar Falls Baptist Church, Cedar Falls where Mrs. Hill will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Pastor Brian Clark will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
